In proseries where is the best place to enter the sale of the property subject to FIRPTA on the 1040NR. Should it be entered on the 1099-B worksheet, Home Sale Worksheet or directly on 4797. This was not the person's main home as they are foreign. They did not rent the property.

It should end up on Schedule D.

use the 1099B worksheet, just skip over the brokerage info at the top.

If your client is tax resident of a treaty country, make sure you check the treaty article on the taxation rights. Generally, the situs state has the primary and exclusive right to tax the gain on disposition but you should always double check.
