Thank you but I do know where to enter ID I am trying to find out how to enter a resident alien green card-there is no entry for that that I can find.

Is this in a state that requires the ID information?  Its not required for IRS yet, so if you cant find a place for that ID information, just check the box for NO ID and make notes in the client file for as to how you identified them.

If you've got an SSN you'd enter the same place any other SSN would be entered.
