I have clients that are married who must file separately. What is the best way to accomplish this with ProSeries Pro? Enter all the information as though they are filing jointly and then let the system split them into separate returns by using File > "Split MFJ Return"? Or just enter them individually choosing MFJ as the status on each? Does it matter which it's done?

If they are already in the system as MFJ, the easiest is to split the return. If you are entering from scratch, I would just enter as two MFS returns.
