Are you saying the transaction is not taxable? If it is not, enter basis = sales price.

Strange to get a 1099-B on a nontaxable transaction.

I agree.  I don't see qualified reorganizations on a 1099-B.  This smells like something else, probably something taxable.

:laughing: I have several clients who seem to think so.  "But I didn't take any of that money out, I just used it to buy different stocks so I shouldn't have to pay tax on it.":laughing:
