A colleague and friend who uses Pro Series has a client that sold a house that they inherited. They never lived in the house, they just sold it after they inherited it. In the past it was no problem entering and reporting this, but there seems to be an issue exactly WHERE to enter this on the SOFTWARE, so it is then reported in the correct location on tax return. I swear it seems every time they change something, they make a problem.. If anyone can help us I would appreciate it. thank you. Have a nice weekend.

A sale of an inherited house is just a capital asset and it is reported on 1099-wks and it shows up on Schedule D.

Same place as last year. Go to schedule D and click on the 1099B worksheet and then scroll down a little to get to the data entry portion of the form.
