What is the levy/garnishment "for"?
That'll give a clue where (if anywhere...) it should be entered.

Why would it matter? Does it have any effect on income?

Daniel.... Maybe if it was for state income taxes AND they itemize AND they aren't already over the SALT limit ?????
Getting SS garnished is unusual (in my experience.. YMMV)

Any levies or garnishments you see shown on the SSA1099 dont get entered on the tax return anywhere.

I agree the levy/garnishment would *never* reduce the amount of SS to be reported. But until we know *what* it was for, we can't be sure it shouldn't be entered somewhere.
I don't think that is what the OP is actually asking tho - I *think* s/he want to know how to enter it to reduce the SS income. But it's late on a Sunday, and I'm a wee bit tired 🙂
