College student is claimed by parents on 2020 return. The parents receive the $1,400 payment. Student marries in 2021 and works full-time, no college. Can the student get rebate on 2021 return?
I looked at questions on IRS website and the answer begins with "maybe"

What does the program entry result in? What happened in 2020 was used for payout as projection. 2021 Actuals is all that matters, now.

Yes, the no longer dependent gets the stimulus and no, the parents do not have to pay it back.
