client wants to remove form 8839 from her return as it is delaying her efile. How do I get the program to delete the form from the return?

Go into form and enter CTRL W

Or while in the return go to the form you wish to delete, click on the forms tab, and select "remove.(name of form)

I did that and It will not delete the form. Any other suggestions?

I dont even know what an 8839 is....if you made entries in a worksheet that fed to the actual form, youd need to delete the worksheet or the form will continue to regenerate.
If its a required form, you wont be able to delete it either.

Why would the client want you to file a return without all of the information? What is the big hurry?

Go the carryover worksheet if there are entries for the adoption tax credit that carried over and delete those entries. Not sure if you want those carryover credits removed? But if you do, then do that first and then remove the 8839
