The box should have popped up when you did a review of the return - at least if did for my first 1040.

Its a PTIN verify box and we have to do it each year, its not new for 2021.   Most preparers run though the preparer info tab and verify everything at installation, the box would have been pink and needed to be checked.

But, Id like to know how often someone would be issued a new PTIN that it would need to be verified each year!
