I'm not certain, but I think you'd amend the 1120 to zero that return out with a statement that the wrong return was filed and that you'll be filing an 1120-F separately. That 1120-F should be able to be an original return, but just prepare yourself that e-file might be blocked and you'd have to paper file. Remember the new postmark rules!
