Hi @michele Thanks so much for bringing this to the Community. We've taken a look at the field in Lacerte. Based off of what we see, the input in Lacerte should be to select the desired credit, and then enter the amount. The amount of what the credit should be, not the contribution. 

If you were to hit F1 in screen 53.111- > Indiana -> Indiana Other Credits -> Amount

 You'll see it states: Use the input fields below to enter allowed credits.
