Any NY/NYC preparers who can help me with filing a NY tax return. It keeps getting rejected by Lacerte and is saying i need to confirm withholding and I'm just following what is on the W2 with NYC local tax withholdings. I am open for a call or email if that is better. Thanks for any help. Here are the major details:

1. W2 has NY state withholding of $5,000 (Box 17) and Local income tax withholding of $5,000 (Box 19); Box 20 says NYC Res.

2. I have entered the withholding in Lacerte under Local Tax Withholding.

3. Lacerte has rejected the return twice saying, Reject Error R0503: NYC or YKR tax withheld > 500 and Resolution: Verify that all NYS withholding is different from either NYC or Yonkers withholding. Verify the withholding that has been entered in income screens such as W-2 (Box 17 and Box 19), Interest, dividends 1099-R etc.
