Prior to 2024, I was able to use the F4 button to bring up the Client Status dialog box and check the "Lock Return" checkbox. Now, in the 2024 version, when I check the checkbox, click 'OK' and enter my password, I receive an error message "The following clients were in use or caused errors at the time of this operation. Please try again later." Well, that's not really helpful. So far, the only workaround that I've found is to right-click on the client and select "Lock Return" from the popup menu.

Yes, this is a very annoying issue - why even have the lock button on F4 status, if it cannot be toggled?

Hello, This unexpected behavior has been reported to development for further review (2024 Client Unlock F4 Indicates File in Use When Checked). I'll reply to this thread with updates when they are available.
Workaround:
From the client list, right-click and Lock Return as you mentioned above.
