Settings > Options > Setup > There are several "Complete Return - " with Printer, PDF, DMS, ....

Adjust each of those to make SV at least one of your choices. 

This did not work for Return Options. Custom copy and Partial return are not options for changing - only Preparer Review Copies, Preparer File Copies, Client Copies, and Government Filing Copies are available for changing.

A custom copy is determined each time you use it. It is Custom for that particular situation. 

A Partial Copy is what is says it is. I just want to print the 1040 OR I want the 1065 and the 4562. Determine when you want the Partial Copy. 

All of the others are the "usual" that you would print for every return and not have to think about it. 

The 'default for a Custom Copy is 'the LAST thing you did as a Custom Copy'.  This let's you set up a fifth set of forms (Review, File, Client, & Government Copies...  and Custom) that you use frequently and get them quickly.

How can I print out all the forms that the government will receive for a clients 1040 filing that I can provide to the client so they understand exactly what the government is going to receive ?

In Lacerte you would be able to:

At the Clients list, highlight the client you would like to print.

• Go to the Print menu, click Tax Return.
• On the bottom of the Print Tax Return box, select the Help button. Scroll to the bottom of the Lacerte Help Center box that pops and click on Setting Up Tax Return Print Copies.
• Under the You can change settings for printing completely collated returns for:  section you will see the different copies that you would be able to print from Lacerte and what they are for.
