When attempting to open years 2017 through 2020 and occasionally 2021, I get a message that indicates I do not have credentials to open it. I can open 2016, 2021 usually, and 2022 and 2023. I installed the program patches required for all post-2016 years before January 1 and these programs worked fine earlier in the year. The program patch had to do with the way Lacerte interacts with Windows.

Thank you both. I tried reinstalling 2020 and that didn't do anything. It installed quickly enough to make me uncertain if the installation was actually successful. I have to harass Lacerte in the next few days and get them to work on it.

Same thing happened to me. However when I retried at 8PM EST, I was able to log in, but very frustrating that I had a 3 hour delay to complete work that is due to the client tomorrow.

Okay, Lacerte had me download the latest Tool Hub on each workstation, I think it has to be about a December version or later, and install from there year by year and workstation by workstation. I hope none of you are in a firm with 600 workstations. Fortunately I have only 18 installations. Uh, I've done three Tool Hubs and six programs so far. The update applies to six years, 2018 through 2021. 2022 might be included too though I have had no trouble with 2022. I'm hearing that all Intuit tax programs are affected, not just Lacerte.
