When you pro forma, Choose Custom, when you get to the screen that says Choose the Information to Transfer for Each Client, uncheck the box that says Preparer Number.

That's all I see. I don't know if it will also prevent Staff Preparer from pro forma'ing. And you may want Preparer to roll but not Staff Preparer.

Try it with one client and see what happens.
