We want to be able to send documents via DocuSign without having to attach them to a tax return.  We ere thinking of using this to send our engagement letters before Tax Season fully begins.

As it stands now, I don't think you can do this.  The question is how to add this functionality.  Is there any agreement between Lacerte and DocuSign where we can get this added functionality?  Or do we just need to buy the full version of DocuSign separately rom Lacerte.  if so, aren't we paying twice - once for the full version of DocuSign and hen again for Lacerte eSignatures?
