Practice Management Partnering to power prosperity Read the Article Open Share Drawer Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window) Written by Jorge Olavarrieta Published Oct 15, 2024 4 min read For decades, Intuit® and accounting professionals have partnered to grow their firms, scale staffing, and drive the success of our shared customers. This collaboration has expanded business opportunities for the accounting community. Last year, alone, over half a million accounting professionals grew their practices with us through our ProAdvisor programs, and 1,500+ earned nearly $60M in additional income as live experts on our platform. Working together, we helped tens of millions of small businesses and consumers succeed financially, including over half of all QuickBooks® customers who are connected to an accountant. Today, Intuit serves approximately 100 million customers worldwide, including 10M businesses, giving us insight into the challenges businesses and consumers face, including those at tax time. Now because of industry shrinkage, many find themselves unable to find an affordable, trusted tax professional. Still others are being let go by their accountants who choose clients with more complex, higher-cost needs, over those seeking help with simpler returns. Or worse yet, these changing dynamics are leaving many underserved by the industry. It’s up to us to fix this—together. Our commitment to addressing the changing needs of accountants, small- and mid-market businesses, and taxpayers around the world is why we’re investing billions to expand our platform capabilities so that together, on Intuit’s AI-powered expert platform, we can help customers run and grow their businesses end-to-end, and enable consumers to file taxes and manage their finances all in one place. Partnering to grow the industry The decline in accountants entering the profession is well known within the industry. That’s why we’re committed to helping grow the community and assist under-resourced firms that struggle to meet client needs due to a lack of staff. We’re creating jobs and driving growth with accountants through programs such as Intuit Academy, where last year we trained more than 129,000 unique learners on bookkeeping and tax preparation. Soon, we’re launching a new Intuit Bookkeeping Certification that helps start and grow careers by teaching fundamental accounting principles. And through our Intuit Live expert platforms, we employ more than 12,000 professionals, including many accountants with their own practices who have built their firms in partnership with Intuit, using our QuickBooks and ProTax platforms. Partnering to deliver breakthrough benefits Our partnership and Intuit’s platform allow us to better serve businesses and consumers together, enabling you to provide the high-value advisory services customers expect from experts while using our platform to automate manual tasks and compliance work to benefit you and your clients. We also believe we must be bold in driving awareness of our TurboTax offerings that connect tax filers to experts on our platform at a competitive price. We need to make sure every tax filer is informed of their choices when it comes to accessing experts, or risk them being connected to those who lack the qualifications and don’t have their best interest in mind, all to the financial detriment of our accountant partners, businesses, and consumers. Our work to drive tax filers to experts on our platform will continue to create business and income opportunities for tax experts who participate. We have ambitious plans to better serve businesses and consumers on our platform in partnership with you. To do this, we are driving new growth for accountants so you can be effective, efficient, and profitable, and our shared customers can, too. We have continued to invest in one unified tax-pro workflow with the seamless integration of Intuit ProConnect™ Tax and QuickBooks Online Accountant so you can go from books to tax to advisory insights, all in one flow. We stand alone in offering the only pro-tax software with built-in tax advisory services, thanks to the inclusion of Intuit Tax Advisor for tax year 2024, so you’re able to leverage a whole new additional revenue stream. With our focus on automation, cloud, and AI, you see all your data in one screen, and pros can create custom tax plans in minutes to show clients valuable savings by using tax strategies automatically generated from their ProConnect Tax and Intuit Lacerte® Tax returns. Partnering to grow together We value our relationship with the accounting, bookkeeping, and tax community. The power of our AI platform, and the strength, resilience, and impact of this community, is a testimony to what we are capable of building together. As a result, our shared customers and the millions more we seek to help every day have, at their disposal, unparalleled expertise and technology to drive their financial success, today, tomorrow, and for years to come. Our commitment to them and to you only grows stronger as we work together to grow the community, your businesses, and our shared customers. Previous Post ProSeries® Tax spotlight: James P.
