Using Lacerte Tool Hub to fix common problems and errors

We know things can break sometimes, but we’re here to help. Use this link to install the Lacerte Tool Hub where you can take advantage of all the tools we have to help fix Lacerte issues. Follow the steps in this article to download and install the Lacerte Tool Hub application.
Lacerte Tool Hub will help you to resolve issues when they happen. To prevent data loss and other serious issues, make sure that you've reviewed all of the information in Lacerte system requirements.
Download and install Lacerte Tool Hub
- If Lacerte is still open, close the program completely.
- Download the Lacerte Tool Hub Install file. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it (such as your Downloads folder or your Windows desktop).
- Open the file you downloaded (lacertetoolhub_setup.exe).
- Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
- When the install finishes, select the icon on your Windows desktop to open the Tool Hub application.
Using Lacerte Tool Hub
The hub is a launchpad for the tools you’ll use to fix your issue. Each tab has a set of tools for addressing different types of problems:

Install a prior year of Lacerte Tax | Install | Use the WebSetup Tool if you’re having issues preventing you from updating Lacerte successfully. |
Performance issues or problems opening the program | Program | Use the Component Repair Tool to fix problems with system components that the program relies on If Lacerte, Tax Planner, or DMS opens off-screen, use the Reset Display tools. This tab also has utilities to help resolve login window display issue, large tax return crashes, and option-related issues. |
Problems with network drives during a network install or network file access | Network | N/A |
Correct client database issues | Data | The CLPack tool will resolve duplicate clients and database errors. The Lacerte Backup tool will help you back up your Lacerte data and options for moving to a new PC. |
