How to resolve ProConnect Tax diagnostic Ref 47655 - Mississippi e-file generates when county is selected

See steps below to resolve the following diagnostic, generated on a part-year/non-resident Mississippi return when attempting to e-file:

• e-file: All Mississippi Non-resident or Part-year returns must enter a code of Non-resident or Resident living out of state. (ref. #47655)

To resolve this diagnostic, follow these steps:

1. From the Input Return tab, go to General ⮕ Client Information.
2. Scroll down to the Mississippi Information section.
3. In the Country Code drop down input, select one of these options if you are a part year or nonresident:
   • 83 = Nonresident
   • 90 = Resident living out of state
   • Or if the taxpayer is a resident, choose their resident county
