Generating individual Maine Schedule PTFC in Lacerte

Follow these steps to generate Maine Schedule PTFC in the program:

1. Open the client return.
2. Go to Screen 53, Other Credits.
3. Select Maine from the left navigation menu (if this is a multi-state return).
4. Scroll down to the Property Tax Fairness Credit (Schedule PTFC) section.
5. Check the box labeled Completing Form 1040ME in accordance with Step 1, paragraph A of the Schedule PTFC instructions (see F1 Help).
6. Enter the Property tax paid in 2023.
