Understanding your Invoice

by Intuit2 Updated 3 months ago

Your invoice shows details about your current information, renewal package, and potential upgrades for next year. Understanding its layout helps you make the most of this information.

The top of the invoice contains important URLs and dates. Some examples are:

  • URL to update your billing information for your renewal
  • URL to renew your current package
  • URL to make upgrades to your current renewal
  • Date of payment if Auto Renewal is set up
  • Date current Quote expires if Auto Renewal is not set up

The next section down contains License and Customer Information.

  • Licensed To contains the Primary Contact, as well as the firm name and mailing address

  • Customer Info contains your Customer Account Number, Email address, Account Status for the renewal, and Payment or Renewal date

The bottom section contains your current package information, as well as suggested upgrades or additional offerings that could benefit your firm.

  • Current Package will list the products you are set to renew for next year. Unless you made changes, this would be based on your products for the current tax year. The bottom will contain the total amount, as well as any discounts or promotions that apply for your renewal.

  • Suggested upgrades will include either addons such as eSignature or Hosting, or additional services we offer such as Intuit Verified Pro to get referrals of taxpayers looking for help with their tax return.

The last item to make note of is near the bottom-right corner of the invoice. In the margin next to the upgrade section will be the Quote number. This can be referenced if you need to contact us for further questions or to make adjustments to your renewal.

The second page of your invoice will contain information about pricing and other disclaimers. For example, there is a pricing disclaimer that we could adjust the price due changes in Sales Tax between the time the quote was created and when the renewal is processed.
