Form Help - Indiana

by Intuit Updated 2 months ago

This article is for state-specific form help. Use the table of contents to jump to the tax module you're working on, and then find the relevant form and line within that section.

Table of contents:

Individual

IT-40

Line 19

Applying overpayment to next year’s estimates can be done through Screen 7.1. Typically, an entry of 6 in Apply Overpayment to 20XX, code 113 and 1 in Estimate Options [O], code 114 is enough. Multi-state returns need a separate entry in these fields for each state.

Sch CT-40/40PNR

How to generate:

In Screen 3, Indiana Miscellaneous there are dropdowns for county of residence which would need to be the same for Self and Spouse for Line 1 of the Schedule CT-40/40PNR to match IT-40PNR Line 7. If there is a difference for Self and Spouse in the county of residence, Column B of the form will be used with the relevant county rates for each.

Partnership

Schedule IN-EDGE and IN-EDGE-R

How to generate:

In order to generate the Indiana IN-Edge or IN-Edge-R schedules, within the partnership there must be at least one non-resident partner, generating a composite tax return. To generate the composite tax, enter a 1 in the "1=apply to composite tax" within the Indiana Credits grid. The credit code to select within the grid for a IN-EDGE schedule is 839, and for a IN-EDGE-R schedule, an 857.
