Common questions about purchasing eSignatures

If you need to purchase eSignatures for Tax Year 2022, please make sure to select Tax Year 2024 signatures. Tax Year 2024 signatures can be used in the current year and the prior years for which e-filing is available.

Purchasing eSignature for Lacerte 2026, ProSeries 2026and ProConnect Tax 2026: 

Choose the 2026 Tax option to purchase envelopes for your 2026 tax product.

Bundle eSignature

• Envelopes purchased via a Bundle will be available to use in the 2026 tax program and will expire on December 31st, 2028.
• 2026 Tax Year Bundle purchases can be used in prior years until December 1st, 2027 when the 2027 Tax program is released.
• After the release of the 2027 Tax program in November 2027, envelopes can only be used in the 2026 Tax program.
• Envelopes purchased via a bundle will not roll over into the 2027 tax program when it is released in November 2027.

TY25 eSignature bundle credits won't appear in the program until after December 1st, 2025.

Unlimited

• Envelopes purchased via the Unlimited option will be available in the 2026 tax program starting January 1st, 2027.
• Unlimited Esignatures purchased in the 2026 product can be used in 2026 and prior years until December 31, 2027.
• When the 2027 tax product is released in November 2027, the 2026 Unlimited Esignatures can also be used with that product until December 31, 2027.
• Envelopes purchased via Unlimited will not roll over into the 2027 tax program and have an expiration date of December 31, 2027.

Pay As You Go - Lacerte Only:

• Pay As You Go is valid from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025 and can be used in the 2024 tax program and prior year tax programs. It will not be valid beginning in 2027.

2023 Tax Year eSignature Credits

• Envelopes purchased as part of a Bundle in the 2025 Tax product will expire on December 31, 2026 and can be used in the 2025 tax program. You can also use these in prior years until November 1, 2026.
• Envelopes purchased via a bundle will not roll over into the 2026 tax program when it is released in November 2026.
• Envelopes purchased via Unlimited will not roll over into the 2026 tax program and have an expiration date of December 2026.
• Lacerte only: Pay As You Go ended on December 31, 2024.

Calendar Year 2023: All eSignature credits purchased from the 2022 Tax Program using the Calendar Year 2023 purchase option (which is no longer available) expired on December 31, 2023. This purchase option is no longer available.
