Signature requirements when e-filing state individual tax returns

This article will help you identify which signature forms are require for individual tax returns and if you can use eSignature to collect the signature remotely. This information is subject to change based on the state agency, refer to the state instructions for more details.
States with separate e-file signature forms:
The following states have a separate e-file signature form. When the state is added to the return the signature forms will automatically be added to the eSignature request. This table will show you if you can use eSignature on that form and how long to retain the signed copies:
