Installing Lacerte Tax Planner as a standalone

Before you start:

  • The Tax Planner usually comes out in late February of the calendar year. For example, the 2025 Tax Planner is released in February 2026.

To perform the installation:

  1. In the Windows search box in the taskbar, type 2025 Lacerte Websetup.
  2. Select Next once the welcome screen appears.
  3. On the Select Programs to Install screen, select Lacerte Tax Planner.
    • If the Lacerte Tax program has already been installed, it may be unselected.
  4. Make sure the default install location is C:\Lacerte\25TaxPln. 
  5. In the Review Current Settings screen, confirm the settings, then select Install.
  6. When you see Installation Complete select Finish.
