
Entering nondeductible expenses on Form 1065 in ProConnect Tax

You can enter nondeductible expenses in 3 locations in the partnership return:
1. Enter nondeductible expenses on Screen 27, Schedule M-1, M-3
- Go to Input Return ⮕ Balance Sheet, M-1, M-2 ⮕ Sch M-1,M-3 (Book-Tax Adj.)
- Select Schedule M-1.
- Scroll down to Expenses Recorded on Books not Included on Schedule K
- Under Non-deductible Expenses, enter your nondeductible expense in Other (Click on button to expand.)
2. Enter nondeductible expenses on Screen 20, Passthrough K-1's:
- Go to Input Return ⮕ Schedule K ⮕ Passthrough K-1's.
- Select the Lines 12-19 tab.
- Scroll down to Tax- Exempt Income and Nondeductible Expenses (18).
- Enter amount in Nondeductible expenses (C).
3. Enter nondeductible expenses on Screen 22, Other Schedule K Items
- Go to Input Return ⮕ Schedule K ⮕ Other Schedule K Items.
- Scroll down to Tax-Exempt Income and Nondeductible Expenses.
- Enter amount in Nondeductible expenses [Adjust].
