Generating Form 7205 in ProConnect Tax

Starting in tax year 2023, you can generate Form 7205 in ProConnect Tax. This Form is for the Energy Efficient Commercial Buildings Deduction. To review the IRS instructions, see here. To see how to generate the form in ProConnect Tax, select your tax return type:

Generating the 7205 in the Individual return:

1. Go to Input Return ⮕ Miscellaneous Forms ⮕ EECBP Deduction (7205)
2. Complete the Owner or Designer Designation.
3. Select the blue Building hyperlink in the upper right.
4. Complete the tab for Building 1 or use + to add additional buildings.
5. Under General Information select the Form and Activity name or number to link this deduction to.
6. Complete the applicable sections.

Generating the 7205 in the Partnership return:

1. Go to Input Return ⮕ Other Forms ⮕ EECBP Deduction (7205)
2. Complete the Owner or Designer Designation.
3. Select the blue Building hyperlink in the upper right.
4. Complete the tab for Building 1 or use + to add additional buildings.
5. Under General Information select the Form and Activity name or number to link this deduction to.
6. Complete the applicable sections.

Generating the 7205 in the Corporate return:

1. Go to Input Return ⮕ Other Forms ⮕ EECBP Deduction (7205)
2. Complete the Owner or Designer Designation.
3. Select the blue Building hyperlink in the upper right.
4. Complete the tab for Building 1 or use + to add additional buildings.
5. Under General Information select the Form and Activity name or number to link this deduction to.

1. Go to Input Return ⮕ Other Forms ⮕ EECBP Deduction (7205)
