How to resolve ProConnect Tax diagnostic ref. 52389
by Intuit•1• Updated 2 weeks ago
If you're receiving the following Diagnostic:
- When electronic filing an extension, the State of Arizona requires an amount due and for the amount to be paid electronically via direct debit.
Note: Electronic filing of the 204-SBI requires the electronic filing of the form 204.
Follow these steps to resolve:
- Verify an amount is due, and is set to be paid direct debit.
- Check Form 204 to see if there's an amount generating.
- If so, go to Input Return ⮕ General ⮕ Misc. Info/Direct Deposit.
- Scroll down to the Direct Deposit of Refund / Electronic Payment section for AZ.
- Under the Extension subsection, check Electronic payment of tax due with extension.
AZ doesn't provide for an automatic six-month extension of time to file - The taxpayer must either file the Arizona Form 204 or the federal 4868 by the April filing deadline.
