How to resolve Lacerte diagnostic ref. 27689 - Information must be entered only for the consolidator

This article will help you with the the following e-file critical diagnostic in the Corporate module:
- e-file: Form 851 (Affiliations Schedule, Screen 3.1) Information must be entered only in the consolidator. Entries were detected in Screen 3.1 of Client Files other than the consolidator. (ref. #27689)
Clearing the diagnostic:
This diagnostic generates when there's input in Screen 3.1 in the Parent and/or Subsidiary client files in a consolidated corporation return.
To clear this Diagnostic, any affiliates should be removed from the parent and subsidiary client files. Affiliates should only be listed in the consolidator client file. These steps should be repeated with the parent and each subsidiary:
- Open the Parent or Subsidiary client file.
- Go to Screen 3, Consolidated Information.
- Click on Affiliations Schedule (851) from the top left navigation panel. This will take you to Screen 3.1, Affiliations Schedule (851), if not already there.
- Remove any clients listed in this grid. This grid should only be populated in the consolidator.
To remove an affiliate from this grid:
- Click on the Client in the Affiliate (851) list in Screen 3.1.
- Click Delete in the left-navigation pane.
- Repeat Steps 1 and 2 until the affiliate list is empty.
Once the affiliate schedule is clear in the parent and subsidiary client files, return to the Consolidator to verify the diagnostic is cleared.
