The following critical diagnostic is generating:
Depreciation asset #X: sent to nonexistent form or schedule. (ref. #2009263)
This diagnostic will generate when an asset on the Depreciation screen is associated or linked to a form or activity which has been removed. While the diagnostic will not prevent e-filing of the return, you may want to review the information for assets entered:.
Follow these steps to review the information for the assets entered:
For 1040, 1120 and 1041 returns:
- Go to Input Return ⮕ Deductions ⮕ Depreciation
- Verify that the Activity Number dropdown has the correct information selected, and verify that the Form dropdown has the correct Form selected.
For 1120S and 1065 returns:
- Go to Input Return ⮕ Ordinary Income ⮕ Depreciation (4562)
- Verify that the Activity Number dropdown has the correct information selected, and verify that the Form dropdown has the correct Form selected.
For 990 returns:
- Go to Input Return ⮕ Expenses ⮕ Depreciation
- Verify that the Activity Number dropdown has the correct information selected, and verify that the Form dropdown has the correct Form selected.
