Amending Gifts (709) in Lacerte

We recommend creating a copy of the return you are amending before you begin. See here for more information on how to do this.

Follow these steps to amend Form 709 in the Gift module:

1. On the Detail tab, go to Screen 3, Miscellaneous Information.
2. Under the General Information section, enter a 1 in 1 = amended return. 
3. The word "Amended" prints at the top of Form 709.
4. Make any changes you need on the original input locations.
