Amending a gift return (709) in ProConnect Tax

This article will help you create and file an amended return for Form 709 in ProConnect Tax.

Follow these steps to amend Form 709 in the Gift return:

1. From the Input Return tab, go to General ⮕ Miscellaneous Information. 
2. Enter a 1 in 1 = amended return.
   • The word "Amended" will print at the top of Form 709.
3. Make any changes you need on the original input locations.
