Lacerte will not Update: Internet Error 12002
I have now spent about 15 hours on this topic, and over $1,000 with IT support. When I go to update 2022 Lacerte (no issues with prior years), I get the error Internet Error 12002. Intuits solution titled "Internet error 12002 downloading file - The operation has timed out" DOES NOT WORK. Lacerte has refused to help / push the issue up the food chain. My IT people solution was to turn off a web filter, but that did not reliability work. Now my IT people found that running the tax setup, then the update - works. That has been working for the last 2 updates. Ideally this helps others. Intuit of course locked comments from their "solved" solution - which we have been through every step 4 times. Every time we call Inuit, we spend 90 minutes going through that same routine before they will really help - and then say they have no idea. Support at it's finest. So frustrating - Intuit was once so amazing.
