We have recently installed Lacerte 2023. Clients have all been Proforma'd.
We have previously installed the Lacertetax-SDK-Installer-64-1.0.0.418.msi and it works fine with prior years tested.
I have created new ODBC connections for each Tax type, however I am unable to connect to the \LACERTE\23tax\IDATA or the \LACERTE\23tax\PDATA.
I am using MS Excel to test the ODBC Connections. When building the connection or when trying to Refresh data from a saved connection, I can access all of the tax types other than the Individual and the Partnerships. When attempting to open the Individual or Partnership types I receive error
[dataSource.Error] The Table has no visible columns and cannot be queried.
On one occasion while attempting to refresh a connection in the saved file I received the error:
Mapping Error:Reinstall Lacerte to fix this problem. Mapping file not found: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Lacerte Shared\LacerteSDK\2023\mappings.xml
If I go to the location specified there is no 2023 folder. In the 2022 or 2021 folders I do find a mappings.xml file, along with a number of DLL files. The mappings.xml file appears to have mappings for the 2 problem tax types, but no others.
The 12/6/2023 (44.0004) update has not created the missing folder or fixed the error.

I'm having a similar problem. Any solution yet?
Just reinstalled 2023 again. I see the mappings file. I can query the Detail table, but not the Client Info table.

I was informed there will be a new SDK. No ETA.

I emailed them asking for an ETA and they responded saying they expected to have it ready by Dec. 15.

It's pretty early for Lacerte to contain all elements or even be stable. The IRS releases the schema, first, so I watch for resolution dates for known issues. That provides a bit of early warning for Lacerte updates or missing data fields.

The xlsx file for the forms of interest (by tax year) will include if specific details are even being resolved in a specific tax year or not.

Lacerte has now released the 1.0.0.434 version of the SDK.
It installs, as before, with no confirmation.
In Control Panel => Programs and Features this displays as Lacerte SDK V1.0.343.0. What's in a "0" anyhow....
I have tested that the SDK does now pull data from the INDIVIDUAL and PARTNERSHIP tax types, and the missing folder, noted above, and mappings.xml file is now also present.

@qbteachmtThe Lacerte SDK is not a Tax Preparer tool and does not relate to the Lacerte program components or operations, other than it allows a technical user (developer) to connect to the Lacerte data and utilize this in 3rd Party Applications.

"is not a Tax Preparer tool"
"to connect to the Lacerte data"
I know this. I've used it for years. The point is, there are updates from the IRS (via Congress) that add or remove fields. I recommend watching the IRS Known Issues, as you can see what's pending, errors, not going to be resolved in the current tax year, etc. It also gives you a heads up for anything new as retroactive (thanks to Congress). IRS originates the XML requirements.
