I have multiple clients who have new born in 2020, I follow instruction on 1040 line 30 instruction, per software I was able to get credit $1100 for new born in 2020. I want to make sure it is correct. Can someone confirm me on this matter, I read left and right on who is eligible but I did not see any that explained well on new born anytime in 2020.
Thanks really appreciated

Yes, the taxpayer who claims the newborn as a dependent is eligible for both recovery rebate credits, EIP#1 of $600 and EIP#2 of $500, provided the other requirements are met.
