Hi!
Individual tax client got insurance on Exchange, has 1095-A. NO APTC. After inputting all sources of their income, they are less than 400% FPL. I expected a premium tax credit would calculate but it's not. They had no unemployment compensation. Seems they should qualify...what am I missing? Or is this form not quite dialed in?

Have you tried manually calculating the thing to see if the software is right or wrong?

Your comment to manually compute it led down that path, but ultimately made me wonder if the 1095-A was correct...form 1095-A, Part III, Column B had NO AMOUNTS on it. Did a search, and in fact, healthcare.gov conveys that if this is the case, the form is wrong. And gives a tool to recompute this. Once I added that info, BAM a nice credit computed. Thanks! 🙂
