I have 2 Fed Amendments 1040X that clients owe money but no Voucher was found to print and instructions say not to attach checks when sending in Amendments. Should I just hand write a 1040-V and mail it separately from the Amendment?

No voucher needed with an amended return, just send a check along with the 1040X.
Id put the SSN and tax year on the face of the check somewhere, just to make sure its credited appropriately .
