In one of its typical Friday-afternoon news releases, IRS announced that all Americans will have an indefinite extension for filing their 2022 federal income tax returns, as well as first-quarter payroll tax returns, “until the current episode of general national malaise and polarization has moderated.”
Newly-installed IRS Commissioner Danny Werfel said, “Now is the time for all Americans to come together and unite in support of our traditional values. Obviously, though, it’s not going to happen in the next two weeks. So, stay tuned.”

I remember walking to the office one day thinking... how will i be able to fit all these clients that I was able to take on, from January to July, three extra months in a time span only covering January to April, when the automatic extension no longer exists.
