Hello I am trying to convert the 1099 NEC forms from Intuit Information System from TXT or DAT or XML to CSV format to submit them in the IRS website but has not been successful does anyone know how to do it. I saw XML (new format) but while selecting this option I keep getting the error message that the recipient box is empty, I have checked to make sure data is in there but it does not let me create the XML file to then convert to CSV. please help.

I had the same problem with the W2 program. I finally gave up and entered all my W2s on the SSA BSO website manually. I'm thankful for this information as I will have to manually enter all my 1099s also. The IRS program is a complete fail!!!! Will not be renewing.
