Where does line 36 on schedule 1 flow to page 2 of the 1040?

I actually found the answer. The program adds line 36 to line 6 on pg 2 of the 1040. It is not clear, but that is what the program does. The explanation is next to line 7 on pg 2 of the 1040.

It does not appear that it shows up at all. Edit: the draft 1040 Sch 1 does not tell you what to do with it either.

Everybody around here was saying I was a fool for not semi-retiring before the new tax laws came in to effect this year. I am beginning to believe them.

I don't do Lacerte, but if it was me, I would enter a big number on the schedule so it's easy to track as to where it pops up on the 1040.
