We are attempting to efile a New York Fiduciary return with an electronic payment of the balance due. It is a multistate Florida Trust. All efile diagnostics are cleared. We use the Efile wizard to efile the return. The federal and all states are transmitted except NY which does not even transmit with an error that is not a diagnostic and says that NY does not recognize the entity and also some reference to a duplicate attachment, which does not exist.
Any experience with this and how to cure?

Does your New York return have a pdf attachment? If so, I have found that you need to double check and make sure this attachment does not have the yes box checked for attach to Federal Return. Check the no box for the Federal return and try to send the E-File again. I'm not sure if your issue is the same as mine, but that is what needed to be done to send the return.
