I don't know but all the laptops in our office are Windows 10 and none are touchscreen.

Thanks, all. Intuit specs require 2.4 GHz dual-core processor and 4 GB RAM and 64-bit operating systems. When you look at the different vendors there are so many sub-types. I am most concerned with the program opening quickly and the laptop in general booting up fast. Not sure if that is memory or processor or both. My current laptop takes forever to start now and it is intel core i7 2.2 GHz with turbo boost up to 3.2GHZ and 8GB DDR3 memory, windows 7 home.

All my desktops are Dell; I had one HP that gave me trouble (therefore, all of them must be bad, right?) but the HP laptops have been better (for me...) than Dell laptops. YMMV

If it becomes a problem, a USB cordless mouse should work.

Yes, it works with touchscreen but is probably not optimized for it.
