I have several clients who would like to file form 4547 (Trump Accounts) with their tax return.  Unfortunately Lacerte does not have the form available.  All other intuit tax software has the form available.  Even Drake software has the form available.  This delay may cause me to lose clients.  Is anyone else having the same issue?  Does anyone have an update on when Lacerte will make the form available?  I have been unable to get a date or feedback from Lacerte regarding this issue.

Seems as if Lacerte is always the last of the intuit products to receive forms!

I keep asking people how much they're charging to help clients get this free money, and so far no one has answered.  I suspect, without knowing (I should get a job in this Administration, right?) that your clients had never heard of Form 4547 until you told them about it.  It's the financial institutions that are going to profit from this, and they're offering free help to set up the accounts this summer.  Your clients are going to have to deal with them, anyway.  Unless you're a "financial planner" (i.e., commissioned salesperson) after April 15.

CA forms have been final and are being utilized by all the other software companies that I have inquired of.  They have been able to file forms since opening day, with the exception of a couple forms that were not final for a day or two. Lacerte has not done the scheduled update for yesterday, 2/4/2025.  LACERTE IS NOW PROJECTING THAT THE NEXT UPDATE WILL NOT BE UNTIL AT LEAST THE 10TH OF FEBRUARY.  At least one of their other, if not 2 out of the 4,  tax software packages have the forms for CA and people are able to file and Print entire returns no problem.

THIS IS 100% A LACERTE ISSUE.  The fact that they did not send out yesterdays scheduled update AND they have not sent any information to those of us that have bought this product, is more than negligent.  Bad business to treat their customers so unprofessionally.  I have been using this product for over 35 years.  We will finally be making an exodous this year.  It is one thing to blow it or have issues, but it is entirely another to leave us all hanging without any information AND to make the updated forms available for their other software packages.  They obviously do not value their Lacerte customers.

Hi! Thanks for posting in the Community about Form  Form 4547. We wanted to share an update we’ve received from Lacerte. Form 4547 is currently in development and is targeted for release in mid-February.

While this may not fully address the timing concerns for some clients, this is the most up-to-date information available at this time, as a specific release date has not yet been provided. We understand how frustrating this can be and appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to make the form available in the program. Hopefully this helps others who are experiencing the same issue.

Will Lacerte be compensating license holders for the long delay?  Considering pro series (intuit) has had it available for over 1 week and Drake Software has had it available since 1/13?

This is unacceptable.

"Mid-February" is the best you can do on February 9th?  Honestly, Lacerte has gotten so bad ever since intuit bought them.

I looked it up so others don't have to.  Intuit bought Lacerte 28 years ago, in 1998.

IRS FORM 4547 is Final on IRS website and has been final for a while. again WHY IS IT STILL NOT AVAILABLE ON LACERTE AS OF 2/9/2025.  Over 500,000 IRS Forms 4547 were efiled the first 3 days of this filing season, yet 3 weeks later LACERTE STILL DOES NOT HAVE THIS.  WHY, why why are they so far behind on everything this year compared to all other software companies?  Are they short of help?

They do not even have an update on when this might be available.  As we will be filing this form for taxpayers that had children, as we have several that are being held up, we need a date.  Our clients can go down the road for two weeks now to get complete returns filed AND PRINTED, but they have not been able to do that here.  In addition to that, the disruption in flow in our office for efiling some returns and NOT BEING ABLE TO PRINT, is not acceptable.

LACERTE, WHEN IS THIS FORM GOING TO BE AVAILABLE. BEST GUESS??? I DON'T WANT TO KEEP HOLDING UP CLIENTS, IF YOU ARE NOT EVEN ABLE TO GET THIS OUT VERY SOON. We need dates, or at least an estimate.

My question is WHY IS LACERTE SO FAR BEHIND THIS YEAR?  All other software companies have had this available since opening day of tax filing.  You have it available on your other tax software. Why are your Lacerte customers getting the shaft this year?  You may have more individual customers with Turbo Tax and your other software combined and so opted to service them first, but really, each one of us professionals that use your software, have hundreds, if not thousands of customers each.  It makes us look bad.  Perhaps that is your long game?  You are trying to build up your tax services and by giving your tax professionals sub par service and not providing forms timely, so we look bad, you hope to acquire more tax clients for Intuit?

If not, than WHY do we not have the necessary forms to file complete returns, AND print them for clients yet, even though they have been available in plenty of time for you to provide them when tax season opened, over 3 weeks ago?  I would appreciate an actual answer, not the stock, it is coming soon answer.    Thank you

AI Slop says "Based on early 2026 reporting, over 4.2 million American families have already filed IRS Form 4547."  When only 3.6 million babies were born in the US last year, and some of them without SSNs.  Where do these numbers come from?  IRS?  Well, I suppose if you can't trust IRS, who can you trust?

Wondering if the 4.2 million families also include parents of older kids just signing them up so that the parents can contribute.  Anyone under 18 is eligible, just not eligible for the $1000 pilot contribution.  At least that is how I understand it.

Form 4547 should be available in the next release.
