In years past, whenever there was a lacerte update or if it needed to be reinstalled due to an error, there was always a chance that the settings on an individual's program would reset. This includes print settings, preparer info, ect. This year seems to be worse than ever. I'm not sure if that's because lacerte is now "always in the background updating" or what.
Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone have any solutions? Its very scary - these changes can impact how a return looks between users - so if a CPA thinks the return is good to go, the collator may have different info when they go to print. Its getting to the point where I don't trust the program. Plus, redoing the settings every other day is not feasible.

That is a severe discombobulation in the software. Tell tech support to escalate your case to highest priority. You have a right to demand a quick resolution.
I have not had that happen. I use the hosted LC.
I don't trust the program.
