form 1099 has dividends interest, and there is a section "summary of proceeds, gains and lssses, adjsustment and withholding. this marks the information as Form 8949.

I don't use Lacerte so I don't know how you enter it into the system, but you seemed to have found it last year so you can always look at last year's program for guidance.
