I have never had so many Letter 12C in my life,  each and every other letter is requesting verification of Federal Tax withheld.  All Fed W/H done on 1099-R and SSA-1099.  Shouldn't they already have this information from the payers?  Now, the letter says it will take 6-8 weeks to process the return!  Anyone else getting an abnormally high volume of IRS letters this year?
