we dont actually prepare, nor file, any tax returns. All we do is tax planning for individual financial planning clients, and having all the other (unnecessary) modules are slowing down the updates, and often timing out and failing to update altogether.

How do I delete everything but the modules for individuals?

Uninstall the program. This does not affect the data..

Reinstall and only select the modules you need.

I'm curious. If all you're doing is tax planning, why are you using tax preparation software?

excellent question! Reason is this:

I've been working in a CPA firm preparing tax returns for 13 seasons and was just recently hired away to another firm (an investment advisory firm) to do tax planning and they wanted to ramp up this aspect of their practice very fast, like now! And with 13 years of familiarity with Lacerte it avoided any learning curve.
