I received client files from another Lacerte preparer exported from their 2022 program. The files have id2 extensions and are on a thumb drive. When I go to 2022 program and select import clients, I only see file extension ty2. How do I proceed with importing these clients into my 2022 program?

Ask the previous to use the Client > Backup (Ctrl + B) function in Lacerte to send you the files. They used windows copy and that will not do you any good. Alternatively they can email a client from the Client listing screen by highlight a client and using Client > Send via e-mail. Ideally they should password protect the client before sending via e-mail.
