I have a taxpayer who was claimed as a dependent by his parents.  He is going to graduate school and he received more scholarships than the cost of his qualified expenses.  Do I enter box 5 and box 1 amounts in Lacerte or do I just enter the surplus scholarship money on line 1 of form 1040 with the abbreviate SCH next to it?  I am new to Lacerte and trying to find my way through the software, thanks!
